Swiis Foster Care Scotland are looking to recruit a full time Resource Worker to join our fostering team based in Dundee. The post is varied and involves working with social workers, therapists and education workers as part of a multi-disciplinary team.
The role involves providing flexible, comprehensive, support to children and young people who are fostered, foster carers and their families, using a variety of needs led interventions and approaches e.g. group-work and 1:1 issue based programmes to achieve the best possible outcomes. Other key responsibilities include keeping appropriate records, representing Swiis at meetings, being involved in carer recruitment activities and taking part in the office duty system.
The successful candidate will have an understanding of the issues experienced by children who are looked after and direct experience of working with young people/adults in a variety of settings using a variety of innovative interventions and programmes to meet identified needs.
This post is based in the Swiis office in Dundee however extensive travel will be required therefore the post-holder must have a clean driving licence and the use of a car.
· Minimum of 2 years’ relevant recent practical experience
· Ability to work in the UK without visa restrictions
· Capacity to work within a multi-disciplinary team
· Full UK driving licence and use of car
